COVID-19 Update

The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) would like to reassure our customers and all our stakeholders that our customer contact service will operate between 9am and 5pm. Changes to services will be updated on our website and social media. We would encourage everyone to use our online services such as webchat and email as far as possible as there may be some delays on our phone lines.  We also request our customers, where possible, to use our online registration and dispute application services, instead of paper applications, as we would expect delays on the processing of paper applications in the current circumstances.

We are working to ensure our Dispute Resolution Services continue to be available for landlords, tenants and third parties. In line with Government advice to implement effective social distancing measures in response to Covid 19 we are encouraging customers to avail of our telephone mediation service which is also free.  

We would encourage landlords and tenants to engage in early and open communications regarding any potential issues within a tenancy at this time, in particular with rent payments.
